Hi, I’m Ivy

Ivy!

Think The Duracell Bunny meets a box of firecrackers!!

This awesome little girl is one busy bee with a brilliant brain. If you're into your dog training or agility, this is the girl for you! Super keen to learn & ultra quick at picking things up. Ivy needs a lot of consistent training, partly to be the bestest girl she can be but also because she LOVES to learn!
Ivy needs plenty of physical & mental enrichment & stimulation in her day - being a working breed mix, she thrives with this. She could also live very happily with a sociable dog friend as she has made lots of doggie mates here at the shelter.
Ivy is a bit of a jumper, so secure higher fencing is needed to keep our girl safe. She would not enjoy too much alone time & is happiest around her favourite people. She will happily leap into your lap if you take a seat, so be prepared!! Ivy will make a fantastic companion & has so much get up & go, she is just ready to go go goooooo!!
Before bringing a puppy into your home, consider the following:

Puppies are learning how to navigate the human world and need your guidance. Gradual and positive introductions to new experiences will help foster their confidence and resilience. It's important to reward behaviors you appreciate, as puppies will repeat actions that lead to positive reinforcement. Effective rewards include praise, treats, toys, and playtime.

Puppies have a strong instinct to chew! Make sure to provide plenty of appropriate chewing options and manage their environment so they don't gnaw on things they shouldn't. Puppy pens and crates are valuable tools for controlling their access and providing a safe space for eating, resting, and playing.

Toilet training requires patience; it won't happen overnight. Consistency and repetition are essential for raising well-mannered, happy, and healthy pups. Avoid punishing your puppy for accidents; instead, reward them for using the designated area.

Puppies are lively, inquisitive, and energetic. They love to chew and require significant time and effort to help them adapt to a human environment. It's important to teach children how to interact appropriately with puppies, reminding them that puppies are not toys. Supervision is crucial during interactions between young kids and puppies.

The more time, effort, consistency, and love you put into your puppy, the less likely behavioral issues will develop in the future. Always research your chosen breed to ensure they align with your lifestyle.
