Meet Pisces - A Sweet, Sensitive, Lap-Loving Companion
Pisces is a gentle, affectionate little dog who thrives on love and companionship. She's looking for a forever home where she can be an integral part of the family-preferably one where she's allowed indoors to enjoy all the cozy comforts (especially your lap!).
Like many small dogs, Pisces would suit a household where someone is home more often than not. She makes a wonderful companion-happy to hang out around the house, go on relaxed sniffari walks, and snuggle the day away. She may be small, but she hasn't quite realized how heavy she is when she's curled up on you!
Personality
Pisces can be a bit anxious at times and might react nervously to strange noises or unexpected visitors. She may give a little alarm bark or growl at first, but she warms up quickly-often switching to tail wags and bum wiggles once she feels safe.
Dog Compatibility
Pisces came into care with bite wounds, so she must meet any resident dogs prior to adoption. While she may show a little barrier reactivity at the kennel, she has remained calm around other dogs on walks. She may do best with another gentle, calm small breed-perhaps even another dachshund!
Children
Pisces can be adopted into homes with older, respectful children (around 8+), though this can be flexible for the right match.
Other Notes
No public dog parks or off-leash areas.
Pisces would love a peaceful, predictable environment where she can feel secure and loved.
